Dulquer Salmaan 
Is an Indian film actor best known for his Malayalam and Tamil films.
Dulquer is the son of actor Mammootty. Dulquer made his debut with the Malayalam film Second Show (2012). He starred next in the film Ustad Hotel (2012) directed by Anwar Rasheed which won the National Award for Best Popular Film. He made his Tamil debut with Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014) directed by Balaji Mohan.He is a two time receipent of Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in 2012 and 2014 for his performances in the Malayalam film Second Show and the Tamil film Vaayai Moodi Pesavum. He was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in Ustad Hotel and Njaan. He won the 2015 Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Charlie.

Dulquer Salmaan has been voted as the Kochi Times Most Desirable Men 2014 based on online polls conducted by the Indiatimes Group.Dulquer has ranked 7th in Chennai Times Most Desirable Men 2014 and ranked 45th in Times Most Desirable Men 2014 in India.

Dulquer Salmaan was born to actor Mammootty and Sulfath. He has an elder sister, Surumi. He studied in Toc-H Public School,Kochi, Kerala, till primary classes, after which he joined Sishya School in Chennai. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Purdue University, U.S.
 He married Chennai-based architect Amal Sufiya on 22 December 2011
Salmaan has been involved in several social service activities. He has acted in a short film as part of the Kerala motor vehicle department's safe riding campaign. In addition, he is the owner of several businesses, including a web portal for trading cars and a dental business chain in Chennai.
He also acts as the director of the Bangalore-based Motherhood Hospital.

Dulquer Salmaan’s website crashes hours after its birthday launch

However, the actor and his team seemed to have underestimated the fans’ enthusiasm because the website crashed hours later this morning, unable to handle the massive traffic.
According to a report by Anu James in International Business Times, the website crashed at 9:50 am on Thursday. Even so, Dulquer’s team told IBT that there were more than 33,000 visitors on the website an hour later.
